A JIAN 'HARE'S FUR' BOWL
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
The bowl is sturdily potted with conical sides flaring to a slightly everted finger-grooved rim. It is covered overall with a black glaze streaked with russet 'hare's fur' markings pooling in an irregular line above the foot exposing the buff body.
