A RED GLASS OCTAGONAL VASE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The vase is of octagonal form with a compressed globular body rising to a tall neck supported on a slightly flaring foot of conforming shape. The metal is of an even red tone with various hues of orange, brown and white forming irregular swirls. The base is incised with a apocryphal Qianlong mark.
