A WHITE JADE 'CHILONG' CUP AND A SPINACH JADE CUP STAND
THE CUP MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY, THE CUP STAND LATER
The cup is crisply carved with a pair of handles formed as two chilong clambering up the steep rounded sides with their forelegs and heads raised above the rim of the cup. The semi-translucent stone is of a creamy-white tone. The spinach jade stand is finely carved with a lobed saucer raised on a conforming tall foot.
