A LARGE PALE CELADON JADE RUYI
QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
The sceptre is carved on the ruyi-head with an immortal greeting Queen Mother of the West riding on a phoenix, the shaft with two immortals in conversation in a landscape above an attendant. The reverse is carved with three lingzhi sprays. The stone is of a greenish-white tone with milky mottling.
