A JADE CARVING OF A CRAB
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The stone is naturalistically carved out of the greyish-white part of the stone as a crab, partially covered by a broad lotus leaf bearing a snail, below which emerge a lotus pod and a bud, cleverly utilising the russet and green parts of the stone.
4 5/8 in. (11.7 cm.) wide
