The unusual set modelled as a boat with three sections with removable covers to the interior, the first mounted with a cormorant, the second with a charcoal burner in silver engraved with foliage and a hiire [ash jar] modelled as a woven basket, the finial as a fish, the upright handle with indented corners in silver, the boat decorated in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, togidashi-e, and kimpun, with waves crashing along the sides, the interior with a mokume ground
