Lot Essay

'My sculptures are new objects in space, reflectors of light and instruments of motion. Time is visible in their rhythmic structures. I do not create "objective art", and I do not participate in de-emotionalizing our world.
To me, the space is just as important as the sculpture which I place into the space and vice versa. I cannot imagine one without the other' (Heinz Mack quoted in: D. Honisch, Mack Sculptures 1953-1986, Dusseldorf 1987, p. 44).
