ALEXANDER DIROM (1757-1830)
A Narrative of the Campaign in India. London: W. Bulmer and Co., 1794. 9 engraved maps, plates & plans, some folding. SECOND EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY AND FIRST EDITION. From 1780 to 1784 Dirom served in the West Indies and was adjutant-general in Jamaica. From 1790 to 1792 he served as deputy adjutant-general of the forces engaged in the Third Anglo-Mysore War; he was made brevet major on 12 February 1791 and during the voyage home he drew up A Narrative of the Campaign in India (ODNB).
