Urania’s Mirror, first published by Samuel Leigh of the Strand, London, in November 1824, presented as a boxed set of 32 constellation cards. This lot is an example of second edition, published shortly afterwards, with added perforated stars. Urania’s Mirror was probably directly inspired by Alexander Jamieson’s Celestial Atlas published in London in 1822.
