A FINE AUBERGINE-GLAZED INCISED 'DRAGON' BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)
The bowl is finely incised to the exterior with a pair of dragons chasing flaming pearls amidst flames and above a border of waves. The foot is further incised with a border of key-fret above a double line. The bowl is covered overall in an iridescent rich aubergine glaze.
6 in. (15.3 cm.) diam.
