Château Lamothe 1969
Sauternes, grand cru classé
Not in original wooden case. Corroded capsules, one with signs of seepage. Badly bin-soiled, damaged labels, four remains only. Levels three base of neck, seven top, two upper-shoulder.
Tasting note: Old golden colour, clear and healthy. Pure aroma’s of dried peaches, hazelnuts and some botrytis on the nose. Light, subtle and very lively. Medium sweet start of taste, peach fruit and honey, on the finish soft and elegantly sweet with fresh acidity balancing the taste. Nice wine. Good for age and vintage. February 2015 E.V.
