A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE 'EGGSHELL' BOWLS
20TH CENTURY
Each bowl is decorated in mirror image with a scene of court ladies engaging in daily activities within a rocky landscape beside a pavilion, bamboo and prunus. There is a calligraphic inscription and three seal marks to one side. The interiors are enamelled in black with a central chilong medallion. There is an apocryphal Qianlong mark to each base.
5 1/8 in. (13.1 cm.) diam.
