AN APRICOT-GROUND BROCADE TABLE FRONTAL

The valence is decorated in coloured and gilt threads with a central shou character flanked by two double gourds. The frontal is decorated with a shaped panel enclosing a pavilion amongst waves below bats, peaches and a wan symbol, all above two Buddhist lions separated by a wave band. The decoration is reserved on a geometric ground enclosing auspicious symbols.
