A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE YELLOW-GROUND 'DAYA ZHAI' BOWLS
LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY
Each bowl is decorated on the mustard-yellow ground with bamboo, flowering branches and lingzhi fungus in a rock garden, a Daya Zhai ('Studio of Great Elegance') mark and a cartouche inscribed tian di jia chun ('Spring throughout heaven and earth'). The bases each have an iron red four-character yong qing chang chun ('Eternal joy and everlasting spring') mark.
4 ¾ in. (12.2 cm.) diam.
