A HONGMU BOOKCASE
LATE 19TH CENTURY-EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The two sides are carved with prunus and bamboo, and the round edges of the bookcase are deeply carved with scrolling dragons. The front of the shelves are each carved with five bats, wufu, amongst clouds. The sides of the shelves are decorated with an openwork scrolling double gourd frieze.
