A HONGMU PINK MARBLE-INSET TABLE
19TH CENTURY
The table is of foliate form and rests on four carbriole ball and claw feet with mythical beast terminals. The openwork frieze is carved with a pair of confronting dragons chasing the flaming pearl and figures holding auspicious objects. The intersection of the lower stretchers is surmounted by a three-legged toad.
