The first figure is modelled as a seated official, with his left arm resting on a rocky outcrop, wearing an official's hat with long tabs, full robes and two stiff belts that frame his rounded belly, with a boy attendant holding a ruyi sceptre besides him, covered overall with a creamy white glaze. The second figure is modelled as Guandi, the full-face with furrowed brow, wearing a tied headdress and a scholar's robe similarly belted with incised dragon decoration, covered all over with a pale white glaze.

The taller 9 7/8 in. (25 cm.) high
