A THANGKA DEPICTING A LAMA
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The lama is depicted seated to the central left side, holding a scroll and is dressed in a red monk's garb and hat, intricately decorated with gilt floral scrolls. Another lama and Vajradhara with his consort are depicted to the upper register. Mahakala is to the lower left and there are several smaller representations of lamas surrounding the central figure, amongst foliage and landscape.
