A POLISHED BRONZE 'DRAGON' CENSER AND COVER
17TH-18TH CENTURY
The censer is decorated with two Buddhist lion-head handles and lappet bands to the shoulder and foot. The base is cast with an apocryphal Xuande six-character mark. The flattened cover is decorated with a pierced dragon holding a lingzhi sprig surrounded by further lappets.
