A PALE CELADON AND RUSSET JADE 'SHOU' CHARACTER SNUFF BOTTLE
19TH CENTURY
The rectangular bottle is carved to one side in high relief utilising the russet skin of the jade with a bird perched beneath a flowering tree. The reverse is carved with six shou characters in different versions of seal script. The stone is of an even pale tone.
2 ¼ in. (5.7 cm.) high, agate stopper
