A CARVED AND PIERCED AGATE PENDANT
19TH CENTURY
The pendant is carved and pierced with two birds, a bat and and a dragonfly surrounded by scrolling lingzhi sprigs, with a poetic inscription to each side. The stone is of a pale grey, russet and dark brownish-black tone. The animals and inscriptions are highlighted in the darker areas of the stone.
2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) wide
