PROPERTY FROM THE EVERTS-CALVOCORESSI-COMNÈNE COLLECTION OF CHINESE ART (LOTS 615 - 617 INCLUSIVE)
Robert Everts served as the Belgian Ambassadorial Envoy to Beijing from 1910 to 1916 and later from 1920 to 1924. He and his wife, and Alexandra, née Calvocoressi-Comnène built their collection of Chinese art during this time. A set of eight kesi from this collection is now in London's Victoria and Albert Museum.
