A JADEITE AND SILVER-GILT HAND MIRROR
19TH CENTURY
The mirror is set into a silver-gilt frame, decorated to the back with floral scrolls and inset with eight hardstones and a rectangular jadeite plaque to the centre. The plaque is carved in low relief with a flower bloom to the centre, flanked by two bats. The handle is formed from a jadeite belt hook carved with a chilong to the shaft, opposite a dragon-head terminal.
