A PALE GREY JADE 'HORSE AND MONKEY' GROUP
19TH CENTURY
The piece is carved as two recumbent horses facing in opposite directions, one with a monkey clambering upon its mane. The details of the mane and tail are delicately incised. The stone is of a celadon and pale grey tone with russet inclusions.
