A LARGE SPINACH-GREEN JADE VASE
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The vase is carved and pierced with twin monster-head handles with loose rings. It is decorated with a large, central stylised band of ruyi heads and swirls on a leiwen ground between further bands of pendent and upright lappets and stylised dragon borders. The base with an incised six-character mark reading Da Qing Qianlong fang gu. The stone is of a rich spinach-green tone with cloudy white flecks and inclusions.
