TWO JADE CARVINGS
17TH-18TH CENTURY
One is carved in the form of a flattened purse, decorated on each side in low relief with a peony bloom, the stone of a pale celadon tone with a few minor dark speckled inclusions. The other is carved in the form of a recumbent mythical beast with its head turned sharply backwards, the stone of a milky white tone.
