A tapering oviform vase
with broad shoulder and slightly everted rim, painted and gilt with shaped panels of groups of figures at leisure, walking and seated before pavilions and a flower seller, the other with ladies and children seated on a riverbank amongst pine and maple trees before further pavilions on the far bank, all on a ground of a profusion of flowerheads between lappet borders and bamboo moulded rims -- 7in. (17.8cm) high, signed Kyoto Tojiki Goshi kaisha.
