With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the production of the present watch with a monogram in 1927 and its subsequent sale on 12 September 1931.

This watch is one of the exceedingly rare examples of a Patek Philippe minute repeating watch cased in platinum to appear in public. It is in fact believed to be the only such watch known to date fitted with a so-called "moderne" case, distinguished by its minimalistic, architectural design. The rarity is further enhanced by the very attractive two-tone silvered dial and the generally very good overall condition.

A similar example is illustrated in Patek Philippe Museum - Patek Philippe Watches Volume II, pp. 245-247.
