With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives dated April 2005 confirming production of the present watch with initials W.R. to the case back in 1882 and its subsequent sale on 14 September 1888. The initials have since been removed, reason for which Patek Philippe will not establish a new Extract from the Archives.

A similar watch is illustrated in Patek Philippe Museum - Patek Philippe Watches Volume I, pp. 376-379.
