2° (353 x 258mm). 23 hand-coloured lithographed plates only (of 24), all by Gjöström and Magnusson after Mörner. (Very light even browning, occasional light thumb-soiling.) Brown half morocco by the Lakeside Press, Chicago, title in English on spine, original engraved front wrapper bound in. Provenance: purchased from Helsinfors, Finland, 15 July 1937.
FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, originally published in 6 parts, with 4 plates, all but one hand-coloured. No sale record on ABPC or RBH since Christie’s Feltrinelli Sale in 1998. Only two copies are listed in WorldCat, both in the US (New York Public Library and Harvard University, Houghton Library).
