A series of 10 hand-coloured lithographic plates, 160 x 243mm. or slightly smaller, each window-mounted. Folding green cloth case with title 'Coaches' on red morocco label.

The son of Jean Adam, the Parisian engraver, Victor Adam studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in 1814-18, and also in the ateliers of Meynier and Régnault. He was primarily a lithographer, his prolific output in this medium consisting of an estimated seven or eight thousand subjects (Benezit).
