A COMPLETE SET, INCLUDING THE RARE JUNE 1828 ISSUE. ‘Most sets that occur for sale finish … with May number … One more number was however issued, namely, for June, after which the enterprise was abandoned. This June number is extremely rare.’ (Tooley) . According to Schwerdt, 'This Magazine, published in the beginning of the 19th century, when hunting in this country was at its height -- ranks immediately after the Sporting Magazine and has the additional attraction of a number of coloured plates. The number for June, 1828, is of great rarity, so much so that in 1910 a copy changed hands in New York at $500'. Schwerdt I, pp.32-35; Tooley 64 (lacks the June 1828 issue).
