MARK OF JOHANN JAKOB ADAM, AUGSBURG, 1751-1753, THE CASTER 1753-1755
Shaped quatrefoil and on four shell feet, the frame on four bifurcated scrolled supports and with central openwork shell and scroll handle, fitted with a spirally fluted inverted pear-shaped caster and similar mustard-pot probably converted from a caster, with later handle, spout and inner cover, each with pierced domed covers, wrythen finials and with two silver-mounted inverted pear-shaped glass bottles and detachable stoppers, further fitted with four leaf-shaped detachable parcel-gilt dishes, the mustard-pot with unmarked spoon, marked on base of frame, caster and mustard-pot, the leaf dishes and bottle-mounts unmarked

weight of silver 71 oz. 14 dwt. (1,297 gr.)
