A 19th century brooch and memorial ring, comprising: a brooch of textured cartouche design, with central foiled garnet collet, half-pearl four-stone points, within a scrolling repoussé border; and an 18 ct. gold momento mori ring, set with a cabochon garnet, the black enamel (worn) band with reeded divisions and gold lettering In Memory Of, the inside engraved Spencer Percival Mansel, Died Dec. 18 1861 aged 64.
