The engine-turned double-hinged cover enamelled and engraved with black and blue floral and geometric rosette and stylized anthemions, the reeded base similarly enamelled with anthemions at either end, the sides enamelled with thin blue border and stiff leaves on a black ground to the corners, the interior of the larger cover set with mirror; also a Continental silver-gilt mounted agate snuff box, probably mid-18th century, rectangular with stepped rounded sides
