oval box, the cover, sides and base set with panels enamelled in translucent royal blue on wavy engine-turned reeding, framed by opaque blue, black and white enamelled bands interspersed with engraved gold demi-lunes, the cover inset with a rectangular enamel plaque with domed top and bottom painted with a bouquet of flowers in a vase on a ledge against a landscape background, within engraved gold mount, flanked by two fan-shaped chased gold plaques, the square pilasters of the sides enamelled in black and blue, the base enamelled with a bouquet of flowers
