A pair of miniatures: a young gentleman, seated on an upholstered chair, in blue coat, white waistcoat, frilled white cravat, his left arm resting on a hardstone table, and a young lady, seated on a giltwood chair draped with a red cashmere shawl, in white Empire dress, her right arm resting on the back of the chair; both with wood-panelled interior
Signed and dated 'Bouvier 1806' (mid-left and mid-right, respectively)
On ivory
