Each shaped circular and with gadrooned border, later engraved with a crest below marquess' coronet, marked underneath, further numbered and engraved with a scratchweight 'No. 25 18=18'; 'No. 26 19=0'; 'No. 27 19=11'; 'No. 28 18=13'; 'No. 29 18=14'; 'No. 30 19=5'; 'No. 31 17=17½'; 'No. 32 19=8'; 'No. 33 19=1'; 'No. 34 19=3½'; 'No. 35 18=19½' and 'No. 36 19=1'
9 5/8 in. (24.5 cm.) diam.
217 oz. 6 dwt. (6,760 gr.)
The crest is that of Hill almost certainly for Wills Hill, 1st Marquess of Downshire (1718-1793). The son of Trevor Hill, 1st Viscount Hillsborough, he succeeded in 1742 and was created Earl of Hillsborough in 1772 and Marquess of Downshire in 1789.
