Lot Essay

The factory records list the model in September 1741: Eine Perl Hennne in Thon poussirt von mittelmassiger Grosse, welche ebenfalls Compagnon gegen eine andere Perlhenne abgeben soll, damitsolche Stucke allzeit gegeneinander sehen. Similar models are illustrated by C. Albiker, Die Meissner Porzellantiere im 18.Jahrhundert , 1937 ed., no. 136, and R. Ruckert, Meissener Porzellan, Munich, 1966, nos. 1129 and 1130.
