Auction catalogue containing books and manuscripts belonging to the German philologist and collector Marquard Gude. The sale was held in Hamburg on 4 August 1706. Many of the books were sold to the Weimar Library. However, the excellent collection of manuscripts remained unsold. The manuscripts were re-offered for sale in 1710 and were mostly acquired by Leibniz for the Duke of Brunswick and the Wolfenbüttel Library. Not in the Grolier Club Library.
