A HUANGHUALI SEAL CHEST, GUANPIXIANG
QING DYNASTY, 18TH-19TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form, the chest is hinged with the top opens to reveal a tray, and the two front doors are fitted flush. The doors open to reveal four drawers. There are baitong rectangular mounts on the corners of the cover, an incised ruyi-shaped lockplate, rectangular pulls and bail handles on the sides.
