A WHITE JADE OVAL PLAQUE
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The plaque is carved in low relief on one side depicting a lone scholar seated beneath a pine tree, the other side with a pine tree jutted out from a cliff, inscribed on the opposite cliff face with a poetic inscription. The semi-translucent stone is of an even white tone with a soft polish, with small concentrated areas of russet inclusion.
