A BLUE AND WHITE 'LOTUS POND' WASHER
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE WITHIN A DOUBLE CIRCLE AND OF THE PERIOD (1723-1735)
The dish is decorated to the central interior with a double circle enclosing a scene of two mandarin ducks swimming beside several elegant lotus stems emerging from the pond. The exterior is densely painted with further lotus pond scenes below a band of six dragons chasing flaming pearls.
