A BLUE AND WHITE BOTTLE VASE
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The globular body is painted in Ming style with simulated 'heaping and piling' with a broad frieze of composite flower scroll above a band of petal lappets and below a triple line border and bands of pendent ruyi heads and foliate scroll on the shoulder. The neck is painted with upright leaves below a further ruyi and cresting wave border at the top, and raised on a foot encircled by a band of classic scroll.
