A MAGNIFICENT PAIR OF BRONZE AND CLOISONNE ENAMEL ROOSTERS
QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY
Each bird is naturalistically modelled with its head held proudly upwards and its beak open, its body decorated with stylised phoenix. They are standing upon a base of rocks, decorated to the top with pine trees below a red sun with the character ri to the centre.
