MARK OF ALEXANDER MUCHIN, MOSCOW, 1871, ALSO BEARING LATER SOVIET MARKS
Cylindrical with textured cover, the latter with bayonet fitting, the sides chased to simulate birch bark; also a Russian parcel-gilt silver trompe l'oeil covered pot, mark of P:O (Cyrillic), probably for Pavel Ovchinnikov, Moscow, 1868, the sides chased to simulate woven reeds, the lift-off cover designed as a cloth tied with cord, interior of pot gilded
