The shoulders of each side with Dionysos seated between large eyes, the bearded god depicted in profile to the right but looking back, enveloped in a striped himation, crowned with a wreath of ivy, his right arm bent, holding a long undulating ivy vine in each hand, the eyes with articulated irises and pupils, the elongated curving brows tapering at both ends, vines in the field; tongues above the scene, a reserved band high on the body, rays above the foot, palmette-lotus chain on the neck, with scrolling palmettes flanking the triple-reeded handles, details in added red and white, dipinti and graffiti on the underside of the foot
