A VILLANOVAN BRONZE SPEAR HEAD
CIRCA 8TH-7TH CENTURY B.C.
The elongated lanceolate blade tapering to a sharp tip, the raised rounded midrib conforming to the shape of the blade, the hollow shaft conical in form and faceted, with hatched triangles incised along the lower edges of the blade, columns of stamped dotted rings on either side of the shaft, an off-set collar of incised rope pattern at the end, perforated twice for attachment
