The well-hollowed vessel is carved in the form of a melon borne on a long tendril with further smaller fruits and a butterfly resting on a stem. The stone is of an attractive green tone with cloudy inclusions and natural fissures.

Provenance
Collected by the current owner’s family during the first half of the 20th century, thence gifted to the present collector in the 1990s.
