CHINE, DYNASTIE QING, XIXEME-XXEME SIECLE
The Goddess of Mercy is modelled standing with her hair tied in a topknot held by an elaborately-carved tiara surmounted by Amitabha. She is wearing long robes revealing her two hands and one foot. The reverse is stamped with a seal mark reading Puji yuren which may be translated as '(Virtue) extends to all, (even) fishermen'.
